Keep the firm working. Transform the office around it.
Brown Rudnick LLP appointed Parogon, their partner of more than 15 years, to refurbish their offices at 8-10 Clifford Street in London W1.
The work included knock-throughs between the two buildings, a new spiral staircase from the basement and a full refurbishment of 10,000 sq ft of offices.
The firm stayed in occupation throughout, so the programme was phased around the people working in the building.
The Thinking
One connected office, with a centrepiece to match.
Two buildings meant two separate offices. Knock-throughs join them into one, and a new spiral staircase from the basement links the floors vertically.
The staircase is more than circulation. As a sculptural white form against timber panelling, it gives the office a heart and a moment of arrival.
The Build
Phased around a busy law firm.
Each area was refurbished and handed back before the next began, so lawyers and staff kept working throughout the eight weeks.
Meeting rooms, breakout spaces and the new staircase were delivered to one consistent standard across 10,000 sq ft.

The Result
A connected office, built around people who never stopped working.
One connected office
Two buildings joined and 10,000 sq ft refurbished into a single workplace.
Built around the people
Eight weeks phased so lawyers and staff kept working throughout.
A partner that lasts
Fifteen-plus years of trust, with every phase on the date promised and within budget.
Brown Rudnick's people work in a connected, modern office with a real centrepiece, and the firm keeps coming back. Every phase on the date promised, and within budget: the reason the relationship has lasted 15 years.
