Royal Berkshire needed new critical accommodation without an existing room to spare. Parogon formed clinical space inside two lightwell courtyards while teams and patients continued to use the hospital.

Infilling redundant courtyards created clinical capacity without taking existing rooms out of use. A planned churn of clinical staff established safe work areas before structural work began.

Two infill structures connect back into the hospital through new link corridors. Underfloor heating, full services and durable clinical finishes complete the new suites.
